Hey, it's Alex.
There's something I see again and again in my work.
Most people already understand a lot. They know where their patterns come from. They can explain why they react the way they do.
And it still happens.
That's not because you're doing it wrong.
Understanding lives in the slow, thinking part of your brain. The old reaction comes from a faster part.
So the reaction shows up first. The understanding arrives a second too late.
Knowing why helps. But on its own, it rarely changes how it feels.
What changes it is slower and more human. Someone notices the moment with you, while it's happening. And you stay with it, instead of explaining it away.
That's the work I do one to one, as a Gestalt therapist in training.
But first, I'd like to hear from you.
What keeps coming back for you, even though you understand it?
Just hit reply. One sentence is enough.
I read every reply, and I answer them myself.
Alex
